Decker Press collection, 1889-2007.

Research collection of materials relating to The Press of James A. Decker (1937-1948), later known as Decker Press (1948-1950). The Decker Press was a publishing company located in Prairie City, Illinois. James A. Decker founded the press which ultimately put out close to 250 books, mostly poetry. The collection includes correspondence, writings, historical articles, bibliographic information on the press' books, biographical information on the Decker family, photographs and other materials. Many of the materials in the collection are photocopies.
